As I mentioned before, the NoReReg entries prevent two or more versions of the Office programs from stepping on each other's settings.

That conflict is what causes the configuration messages. If you remove Office , and run the Word configuration once, the messages will stop. Office is more than just the programs on your computer, as the subscription includes online storage and other things, and it involves monthly or yearly payments. Thanks for the information but before I received your note I removed my Office and reinstalled it.
